Through the years I had several portrait-commissions to be a surprise gifts for birthdays, for Christmas , or Wedding anniversaries, etc. That portrait I painted for Christmas time birthday party when her husband who sent me reference photos.

I painted that portrait a few years ago for the art show. It was inspired by photos from one of my friends , who generously allowed me to use that dog photo for my art work. Well recently one of the art collectors bought that portrait – magically that portrait looked and had the spirit of a dog which her family had and loved so mush. I called it “Blue eyes”. Several times through the years I painted portraits to be a surprise gift. On that photo – the moment when grandmother received as a surprise gift for Christmas two small portrait of her precious grandchildren. Do you agree that it is probably one of the most memorable and heart warming gifts? I do. After all, love to your children, grandchildren, mothers and grandmothers is priceless.
