“New Dawn” mural on canvas by Tampa Bay artist Tatiana Rugers
Top photo is of a detail of a large mural on canvas “New Dawn”. I designed and painted that mural for CNS – Center for Neurosomatic studies in Clearwater, Florida. As you can see from the photo below – it has some Trompe l’Oeil elements to add to dimensional look. Painting was stapled to the wall and frame was installed around it. Below you can see photos of “before” and “After” and the letter from CNS addressed to me.

New portrait-progress 2. A Tampa legend and visionary
That photo is of a detail of a portrait I’ve being working now. It’s still just a progress – one of many steps in painting , but I am excited as always to see that the portrait starting to come alive.
Many years ago I took a photo of that great man and our friend . It was at the wine festival black tie dinner. A true legend and visionary. Sketching and the progress of underpainting is on that photo. I promise to post more info about that great man after I finished his portrait.
