My recent Portrait- commission. Finished and delivered. On that image – original reference photo, my painting in progress and finished. Original photo was pretty dark , hard to see the faces and emotions. I asked for more photos so I could study and understand beauty and spirit of that couple better .
That portrait was commissioned by a groom as a surprise birthday gift for his bride. When she saw it she gasped. And she said that it was the best gift she ever had for her birthday.
Priceless. I think both of them created a very special memory. 
I love my job and love meeting people like that!

On my easel today – sketch of a portrait? of a mood? I did not have a photo or a model for that painting but decided to connect to my mood and thought in present. I will probably leave it for a while and decide later where and if I should add anything else to it.
