Idea for Valentine’s gift? A surprise painting? Why not?
One of 2023 Portrait- commission. It was commissioned by a groom as a surprise birthday gift for his bride.
On that image – original reference photo, my painting in progress and finished. Original photo was pretty dark , hard to see the faces and emotions. I asked for more photos so I could study and understand beauty and spirit of that couple better .
Delivery and reveal was very emotional.
When they saw the painting- she gasped. And she said that it was the best gift she ever had for her birthday.
Priceless. I think both of them created a very special memory.
