Today I was super emotional in the morning- as I always am when I have customers to come and pick up their ordered paintings. This time it was a commission of a portrait in color of a little girl from black/white reference very old and faded photo . It was very challenging: from the old black /white photo I had to guess shapes and imagine color tones.
PS Black/ white on that image is of my painting. Not of original old photo. I did not post it here- it’s private property of my customers.
I posted my paint in black/white and colors so you can compare and maybe try to imagine how would you paint something on colors if your reference photo is black and white. It’s a challenge.
