In this post – one of my previous paintings which was inspired by my trip to New Orleans. Musicians always have been a huge influence to our culture and lives. As it is also a beautiful part part of New Orleans! I love that city street musicians, they bring joy to our souls and hearts. Without them the city would not be as colorful. Do you agree? Idea for Valentine’s gift? A surprise painting? Why not?
One of 2023 Portrait- commission. It was commissioned by a groom as a surprise birthday gift for his bride.
On that image – original reference photo, my painting in progress and finished. Original photo was pretty dark , hard to see the faces and emotions. I asked for more photos so I could study and understand beauty and spirit of that couple better .
Delivery and reveal was very emotional.
When they saw the painting- she gasped. And she said that it was the best gift she ever had for her birthday.
Priceless. I think both of them created a very special memory.

and love meeting people like that!

In Progress -my first painting in 2024. Progress as of January 4th. Temporary title for it “Challenge”. Together with many home and life chores and Pilates reforms and Zumba of course 
I found some time to work on one of my 2024 resolutions on my art: to paint braver and bolder -the way I wanted always but I guess was a little shy or conservative to be free to paint what I feel? Hence, temporary name for that painting is “challenge”.

Introducing my new painting in 2023: portrait of Sophie- a beautiful poodle. I painted that portrait from a photo but i also met her in real life. She is pure love.
